We can help. We do roof repairs and new installations, as well as offer full storm restoration services for everything damaged on your property when the time comes. At Protek, we are experienced in the insurance claim process and have a fantastic working relationship with most insurance carriers. Whether you just have questions about the scope of loss you already received or need help filing your claim, we’re there. While many roofers are only interested in what’s fast, your roof, and will leave you stranded with damaged windows, gutters, fence or paint, we can help you with all of it and get it done right. We have helped many homeowners receive a more complete and fair valuation for their loss. As for quality, we use only the best materials by top manufacturers like GAF and Owens Corning and install all products in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations to maximize their longevity and warranty. Unlike many roofers in DFW who cheat homeowners by leaving old felt and re-using damaged accessories we strip every roof to the decking to properly inspect it and the valleys, replace any rotten decking found, install premium ice and water barrier in all valleys and around all penetrations, upgrade you to synthetic felt if you didn’t have it, install new accessories, spray everything to match, do multiple sweeps with the magnet around the yard, clean up and sweep the attic and do a detailed final inspection of the work. Trust me, this is a lot more than most roofers are willing to do. Why do we do it? It’s because we care and want to earn your trust for life by doing it right, once, and helping make the process as smooth as possible.
Professional Gutter Installation & Repair
We install pre-finished, seamless aluminum gutters that are made on site. Properly installed gutters are downspouts are necessary to control rain water, which in turn helps control erosion. Erosion is one of the leading causes of foundation problems. Regardless of your home’s size or shape, we have the experience to do the job right!
Seamless gutters start out as a flat coil of aluminum. We start every installation by taking detailed measurements of all eaves, so that we can make each section the exact length of the fascia. Once cut, the gutters are attached to the fascia using premium hidden hangers with zinc screws. This is in contrast to the old spike and ferrel and flimsy hidden hanger installations, where the gutters have a tendency to pull away from the fascia and sag under the weight of water, debris or ladders. The ends are capped with pre-formed end caps and sealed. All sections are joined at corners with pre-formed mitres that are both sealed and screwed. Downspouts are placed where needed to relieve water and strapped to the brick for stability. Diverters and valley shields are then placed where needed to route water into the gutters and keep it from overshooting the gutters at valleys. Because we care about quality and your long-term happiness, we only use color matched screws, as opposed to the cheaper nickel screws our competitors use that they then spray to match. This always leaves discolored spots on your gutters once it begins to oxidize.
Seamless Gutters are Available in Colors and Styles Designed to Complement Your Home
Styles: Accentuate the architecture of your home by choosing from various styles, sizes and colors of seamless gutters and downspouts. We offer the following:
5” K-Style O.G. : This is the most common style and size for residential homes and is what is included in our quote, unless otherwise stated. Uses 2×3 downspouts.
6” K-Style O.G.: This is used on steep roofs where water can “skip” over the gutter or where 5″ gutters can’t handle the amount of water that needs to be moved due to lack of downspout locations, such as around “C” shape back patios. Uses 3×4 downspouts.
6” Half-Round: Brings back the classic look of yesteryear. Designed for all rainfall rates and roof ridge-to-eave distances. Uses 3″ round downspouts that can also be used with the 5” and 6” K-Style O.G. gutters.
Colors: 30 baked on low-marring polyester colors (over aluminum) as well as Galvalume Plus and copper that will complement the color scheme of your home.
